Using Online Service Manuals

The online service manual is a web based HTML5 (or later) compliant responsive output that uses an internet web browser (such as, Microsoft Internet Explorer or
Google Chrome) to view the content.
The online service manual output is responsive which means scalable allowing the same online manual to be viewed on full size PC monitors, laptops, tablets, and smart phone devices with full functionality.
Using Smart Phones
When using a smart phone, it is best to view service manuals in landscape mode.
Browsers
The online service manual will operate on any browser that supports web markup language HTML5 or later. However, some browsers support the functions and operate better than others.
Recommended browser: Internet Explorer 11 or later

Using the online service manual
HOME Page
The Home page is the access point to the online service manual contents. There is three of ways to find and locate information within the manual:
- Search: Use the search bar to find all topics that contain the specified search word.
- Quick Link Images: Quick Link images are used to quickly open commonly used topics.
- Table of Contents: You can use the TOC to review all the books and topics contained in the manual. Select a TOC item to open the topic.
The footer contains hyperlinks to Precor servicer related web sites including Precor Connect, Training home page, and the Customer Support Contact web page. The footer also contains the Precor Twitter and Facebook hyperlinks.
Topic Pages
The Topic page contains the title and most importantly the content information to help you replace, troubleshoot, and.pr repair the machine. Various HTML features are used to help organize and find related subject information:
- Search: Use the Search bar to quickly find all topic content related to the search text.
- Table of Contents (TOC): There is a global and topic TOC. The global TOC shows the manual books and topic headings. The topic level TOC shows section headings within the current topic.
- You Are Here bread crumb: Locates were the current topic is within the global TOC.
- Expandable text drop downs: Used to organize long topics allowing you view each section heading and expanding the section text of interest.
- See also (or related topic) hyperlinks: See also links are used extensively to quickly jump to other topics that contain additional related subject information.
- PDF & External web site hyperlinks: Used to open related subject matter PDF files or related subject matter external web sites.
- Glossary term pop-up text boxes: Hovering over a blue color glossary term opens a definition pop-up text box.
